Mrs. Henry L. OGDEN. Susan Margaret CALDWELL, born Rush Co., Ind., July 7, 1842; died Sept. 24, 1923, aged 81-2-17.

Came to Iowa when a small child with her parents and remained a continuous resident of Jefferson County the rest of her life. Christian Church.

Married Jan. 31, 1861; six children, four boys and two girls. Three boys preceded her in death when but small children. Those left are her husband, her daughters Mrs. Emma BRADSHAW of Batavia; Mrs. Anna E. DURR of Ottumwa, and her son, Wallace C. OGDEN of Burlington, Iowa; four brothers and one sister, David A. CALDWELL of Abingdon; Alfred and Lee CALDWELL of Ottumwa; Elbert CALDWELL of New Windser, Ill.; Mrs. Sarah GAMBEL of Hedrick, Iowa; nine grandchildren and 3 grgrchn. Batavia Cemetery. (See Abingdon Cemetery for the three boys who died young.)
