Martha Ann HOCKING, born July 6, 1845, in Elisabethtown, Ohio, came to Iowa with her parents in 1864.

Those left to mourn are two brothers, W.R. of Bloomfield, Iowa, and T.J. of Batavia, and one sister Mrs. T. B. SHAW of Ottumwa. She had one brother and one sister and two half-brothers and four half-sisters who preceded her in death.... Methodist Ch.... Batavia Cemetery.
