Robert T. GONTERMAN, 62, and his wife, Alice, Fairfield farm residents, killed instantly Mar. 20 in car-truck collision on Highway 1 two miles north of Brighton. Heavy snow falling at time...

They resided on a farm in Cedar Twp. five miles s.e. of Fairfield. Enroute to Iowa City....

Mr. GONTERMAN will be buried Batavia Cem. Mrs. GONTERMAN, 40, to be buried Bentonsport.

Robert T. GONTERMAN, born Sept. 13, 1900, in Jefferson Co., son of Tom and Willetta BROCK (sic - BOCK) GONTERMAN; married Letha ORNDUFF May 7, 1925; she died in Jan. 1961. On Dec. 15, 1961, he married Mrs. Alice (HUFF) McATEE of Bonaparte.

He is survived by two children, Mrs. Donald MILLARD, Urbana (or Center Point) Iowa; and Merrill GONTERMAN, Milwaukee, Wis. (or Portland, Ore.); three grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. George DAILEY, Fairfield; Mrs. Frank McBRIDE, Libertyville, and Mrs. Paul BOOTON, Pomona, Calif.

Mrs. GONTERMAN was born May 12, 1923, at Bonaparte, daughter of Clinton and Mabel MORRIS HUFF. Grad. Mercy Hospital School of Nursing at Keokuk, and later served as a supervisor at Laughlin Hospital in Kirksville, Mo. Survived by one son, Michael McATEE, and sisters and brothers: Mrs. Alvin R. STANDLEY, Fairfield; Mrs. Andrew WILLIAMS, Bonaparte; Mrs. G. B. WILLIAMS, Birmingham; Mrs. Ralph STOUT, Washington; Mrs. Gilbert SCHREPFER, Farmington; Edna HUFF, Bonaparte; Ben, Clinton and Morris HUFF, all of Bonaparte.
