AGENCY. Benjamin Franklin FORNEY, 17, rural Floris, instantly killed early Wed. P.M. when the motorcycle he was riding and train collided at a grade crossing, Agency. Sophomore student at Cardinal HS north of Eldon, was on his way to the school to take his final exam of the school year. Accident took place at 1:50 p.m. on what is known as the Ashland Road in the s.e. edge of Agency. Blacktopped road. Burlington Northern train, traveling west. Campbell Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial in Batavia Cemetery.

Born Sept. 28, 1953, in Fairfield, son of Carroll and Julia WHITE FORNEY. His mother has since remarried. She is now Mrs. Joe HALL, RR, Floris. Survived by mother and stepfather, one brother, Carroll FORNEY, Ottumwa; one sister, Sarah FORNEY, Davenport; one grandfather, Earl WHITE, Ottumwa, and a grandmother, Leilia kinner (sic -- SKINNER?), Ottumwa.
