Obit. Francis FORNEY, born July 16, 1842, near New Philadelphia, Ohio, died at home of son Elmer at Fairfield, Iowa, Dec. 20, 1921, age 79-5-4. Co. E, 30th Ohio Inf.

Came to Iowa 1865 and for the rest of his life lived in Van Buren and Jefferson Counties, most of the time in or near Batavia. June 30, 1867, married Mary Elizabeth JOBE who died 1880.

Three children, two living: John of Batavia and Elmer of Fairfield; also survived by a sister, Mrs. Joe COUNTRYMAN of Batavia. Member Christian Church of Batavia, Odd Fellows Lodge and GAR....
