C. E. FISHEL, 49, TAKEN IN DEATH: RITES SATURDAY

Clinton E. FISHEL, 906 E. Jackson, former Fairfield automobile dealer, died Wednesday afternoon at the Jefferson County Hospital. Death came on his 49th birthday. He had been a patient at the hospital for the past nine days. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Roland CRANDALL will officiate.

FISHEL was born Dec. 6, 1913, at Batavia, the son of Frank and Melissa SHIPLER FISHEL. He was married to Louise EUKEN March 4, 1942 at Kirksville, Mo. FISHEL was reared in Batavia and attended public school there. He also spent five years in Cedar Rapids where he was associated with the John Hancock Insurance Co.

FISHEL was a veteran of World War II, serving four years in the Pacific theater. He entered the automobile business in Fairfield in 1946. FISHEL was a member of the Methodist church, the Elks lodge, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife and the following brother and sisters: Gaylord FISHEL, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Maxine SANDEN, Hemet, Calif.; and Mrs. Noma FAGLE, Peoria, Ill. Two sisters preceded him in death.
