DEATH OF LOUIS YOUNG. Death has again claimed an Iowa pioneer, Louis Young, who died at his home in this city, on the 14th instant. Deceased was born in Emmettsburg, Md., Oct. 23, 1814. He came to Iowa inJune, 1838, and settled on the old homestead near County Line, where he lived forty-one years, moving to this city a year or two ago. Coming at that early day he was a pioneer in fact, and has undergone all the hardships and privations of an early settler, still living to see what was once to him a wilderness bloom with the fruits of civilization. Mr. YOUNG was a man of much force of purpose and determination. He was a member of the church for forty-one years, first of the Protestant Methodist, and later of the Cumberland Presbyterian organization. He had been in ill health for several years but was suddenly seized with his fatal illness on the 12th inst…..His wife and six children survive him…..
