John DOVENSPIKE died at his home in Libertyville Mon. afternoon. Civil War veteran and the past 27 years has resided in Libertyville. Methodist Church.

Born in Clarion Co., Pa., Aug. 29, 1842; married Miss Mahala Ann GREEN Oct. 18, 1866. Six children, two died in infancy. Surviving: George DOVENSPIKE of Lucas; Mrs. Mildred LONG of Evans; Mrs. Amanda WILSON of Batavia, and Fred DOVENSPIKE at home. Bur. Batavia.
