Floris, Ia.--Mrs. Guy DeVORE, 72, died Wednesday at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield after an illness of six months. The body is at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon. Services are incomplete.
Mrs. DeVORE (sic - Elsie McCLEARY) was born July 8, 1890, in Davis County, the daughter of Leander and Victoria HENDRICKS McCLEARY. She was married to Guy DeVORE in 1913. Mr. and Mrs. DeVORE lived in the Batavia area for many years before moving to Floris in 1938. She was a member of the Batavia Open Bible Church.
Mrs. DeVORE is survived by her husband, four sons, Forrest and Dennis, both at home, and Carol and Arlo of Batavia; three daughters, Mrs. Everett KIPER, South Gate, Calif.; Mrs. Harold McDOWELL, Agency, and Mrs. Leroy LILES, Selma. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and the following brother and sisters: Ray McCLEARY, Mrs. Harvey WHITMORE, Mrs. William WHITMORE and Mrs. George MAIRET, all of Batavia; and Mrs. Loren HECK.

Floris, Ia. -- Last rites will be Sunday for Mrs. Guy DeVORE, Floris, who died Wednesday in the Davis County Hospital at Bloomfield. The rites Sunday will be held in the Campbell Funeral Home at Eldon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. A. M. Crowley, Bloomfield, officiating. Burial will be in the Batavia cemetery. She had been a resident of the Batavia community until she moved to Floris in 1938.
