Charles Burton DeGOOD, 85, died at Batavia.... Lifetime resident of Jefferson County and worked as a painter in this community for over 50 years.

Born in Jefferson County Feb. 17, 1870, son of Dustin and Margaret LUCE DeGOOD; married Helen WRIGHT Jan. 1, 1892... Member Batavia Christian Church. Was the last of seven children.

Surviving: Wife, one daughter Mrs. Bertha HAMILTON of Mystic; 3 sons, Merle of Linby; Harl of Batavia; and C.W. of Fullerton, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven grgrchn. Batavia Cemetery.
