J. Burton DAILEY, 71, retired farmer, died at 6:25 a.m. today at Jefferson County Hospital. Heart attack suffered at his home 911 S. 6th St. Bur. Batavia Cemetery.

Born July 18, 1892, near Bladensburg, son of John H. & Nancy HARMAN DAILEY. Reared and educated in Wapello County; married Dora WEBB Mar. 29, 1916; resident of Fairfield past six years; member First Christian Church and Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are wife and children: Virgil DAILEY, Sun Valley, Calif.; John DAILEY, Mississippi City, Minn.; Mrs. Beatrice MICKELS, Sylmar, Calif.; Mrs. Marie FRIEDRICHS, Aurora, Ill.; Mrs. Lois METZ, Fairfield; and Mrs. Carolyn ROBERTS, Tujunga, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, two grgrchn and three brothers: R. B. DAILEY, Ottumwa; Cleo DAILEY, Darlingford, Manitoba, and George DAILEY, Fairfield. One daughter, one granddaughter and three brothers preceded him in death.
