BATAVIA. William COLLOPY, 84, died Thurs. at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa. He had farmed in the Batavia community for the past 36 years. Born Sept. 17, 1881, in Burnside, Ill., son of Edward and Margaret FRIEND COLLOPY; married Anna JOHNSON on Nov. 6, 1901; she died in 1950. Member Batavia Christian Church.

Survived by one daughter, Mrs. George RUMPH of Ottumwa; six grandchildren, 10 grgrchn and two brothers, Loy COLLOPY of Germantown, Wis., and John COLLOPY of Batavia. He was preceded in death by a sister.
