Mrs. Phoebe Jane CALDWELL, 83, 200 N. 4th St., died today at Jefferson County Hospital. Resident of Jefferson County for 63 years. Made her home in Fairfield for the past 42 years. Raymond Funeral Home. Burial at Batavia.

Born Sept. 29, 1878, at Harvard, Nebr., dau. of Peyton & Sophronia ELLER COLVARD; married David W. CALDWELL Jan. 18, 1905, at Batavia; he died Dec. 27, 1946.

Surviving children: Ena CALDWELL, Chicago; Mrs. Joseph FARRELL, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Glen COOPER, Sutherland; Morris CALDWELL, Gowanda, New York; and Bruce CALDWELL, North Hollywood, Calif.; five grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren. Member Christian Church. One daughter, one sister, and four brothers are deceased.
