David CALDWELL, E. Madison St., died Sat. at home of his daughter Mrs. J. V. FARREL in Texas City, Texas, age 74. In November he and Mrs. CALDWELL went to Texas to spend the winter.
Born Sept. 19, 1872, in Abingdon, and made his home in that community for several years; married at Batavia Phoebe COLVARD of Harvard, Neb., in 1906, and they moved to Fairfield in 1920 to make their home. Member MWA and First Christian Church.
Survived by widow and three daughters: Mrs. FARREL, Miss Ena CALDWELL of Chicago, and Mrs. Glenn COOPER of Ocheyedan, Iowa; two sons, Morris of Gowanda, N.Y., and Bruce of Los Angeles; one brother James of Hedrick, and one sister, Mrs. Laura DAVIS of Des Moines. One daughter, Ila, died in infancy. Bur. at Batavia.
