BATAVIA. George W. BROWN, 74, prominent Batavia area farmer, died today in Ottumwa. Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.
Born May 24, 1898, at Kirksville, Mo., son of A.W. & Anne Bell WINSELL BROWN. Married May 15, 1923, at Ottumwa, Mary KNECHT. They lived in Ottumwa and on a farm near Troy until 1943 when they moved to their present farm home east of Batavia. Mrs. BROWN died in 1966.
Survivors include two sons, George W. Jr., at home, and Gerald, Batavia; two daughters, Barbara, at home, and Mrs. Betty FENN, Washington; 6 grchn; one brother Fred, Wayzata, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen BAKER, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Ethel COLLINS, Pomona, Calif.
