Page 6, Column 1SHIPLER -- Sarah Ann BROWN was born January 22, 1839, in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and departed this life January 31, 1920, at the age of 81 years and 9 days. She was the daughter of John and Delilah BROWN. She was united in marriage to Samuel SHIPLER September 4, 1856, who preceded her in death September 28, 1918. To this union were born thirteen children, four having preceded her in death. Those living are: Mrs. Cynthia MARIES, Bloomfield; Mrs. Malisa FISHEL, Mrs. Blanche LONG, and Lewis W. SHIPLER, Batavia; Mrs. Iva JAMES, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Maggie BARBER, Fairfield; Maturen B. SHIPLER, Algona, and Sadie and Delilah at home, besides fifty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaret PEEBLER of Long Beach, California..... United with the Methodist Episcopal church at Batavia in the year 1906.... Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Caughlin at the Methodist church at Libertyville at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, and burial was made in the Brethren Cemetery.....
