Pauline Sandquist born 27 Apr 1863 in Stockhom Sweden. At age 7 came to Iowa with the family who located in New Sweden community near Four Corners.

There she lived as a girl, attending school and the Swedish Methodist church of which she was a member. Later her home for several years was with Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Barnes here in Fairfield.

She married John Wesley Cassler on 26 Dec 1888. Except for the following two years in Nebraska, Fairfield has been her home.

She had 5 children of which Edith at age 5 and Clarence at age 10 months preceded her in death.
Surviving children; daughter is Mrs. Paul Reed....
