A. G. SAMUELSON DIED EARLY TODAY

Had Been Ill Since Early Spring; Funeral Arrangements Not Completed

Andrew G. SAMUELSON dild (sic) this morning at Jefferson county hospital following an operation of a week ago for tumor. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mr. SAMUELSON was born January 1, 1876 and liver (sic) the greater part of his life 2½ miles west of Glasgow on a farm. He was taken ill in the spring and has since been growing steadily worse. He leaves ten children, Vern, Victor, Ernest, Vera, Clarence, Minnie, Floyd and Geneva, at home, Mrs. Velma GARMOE and Mrs. Roy GARMOE of Salem, his mother Mrs. Velma J. SAMUELSON, two sisters, Mrs. John LARSON of Sheldon, S. D. and Mrs. Emma GRIFFITH of Eldon, four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Note: His obituary does not mention his wife, from whom he was divorced; she was Virginia Mary/Mae 'Jennie' HEISEL. She died in 1968 and is buried at Glasgow Cemetery, while Andrew is buried at Upland Swedish Cemetery.
