MRS. MARY HIDY. Mary Magdalene Moore, born at Bloomington, Ind. Oct 9 1840, died at her home near Batavia, Iowa, Jan 3 1917 aged 76-2-24. Came with her parents to Iowa at age of 12 years. They located one mile north of Cross Lanes where she resided until her marriage Oct 5 1857 to Geo. Washington Hidy. They located at once on the present farm (a mile west of Cross Lanes) where she has lived continuously for 60 years. Widowed by the death of her husband Mar 31 1913, since which time she has remained with her daughter Blanche and her grandson Halph [sic], at the old home. Leaves five children: Mary James, Susan Hughell, Charles and Blanche, all of Batavia, and George of Milo, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, a brother and a sister.....
