11/29/2005Alan Wilson Morgan, 77, of Cedaredge, Colo., died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, at his home.
Mr. Morgan was born in Rubio, the son of Earl and Edith Wenger Morgan. He married Susan Kelley Jan. 4, 1980, in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Mr. Morgan graduated from Parsons College. He retired from his urology practice in 1993 after 41 years. He was the first urologist in the osteopathic profession and started the first osteopathic residency program in the United States.
He was a member of the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Morgan; two sons, Thomas Morgan of Sheridan, Mich., and Jeffrey Morgan of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; one stepson, Patrick Kelley of Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Judy Hannawa and husband Kal and Jenny Fortino and husband Paul, all of Bloomfield Hills; two stepdaughters, Megan Pygott and husband David of Golden, Colo., and Kathryn Kelly of New Orleans, La.; nine grandchildren; one brother, Owen Morgan of Tempe, Ariz.; and one sister, Margaret Rusk of Richland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one sister; and four brothers.
