Kenneth COFFIN

Kenneth Coffin, 82, of Richland, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Angela Hancock officiating.

Family visitation will be held at 6:30-8 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairfield High School Library.

Mr. Coffin was born Feb. 25, 1923, in rural Fairfield, the son of John and Ivy WATERS COFFIN. He married Betty Joann CLINGAN Feb. 23, 1956, in Nashua. She died Sept. 19, 1997. He married Eileen SPRAY June 10, 2001.

Mr. COFFIN lived all his life in the Fairfield area. He attended Fairfield High School and graduated with the class of 1940. He was a farmer and an electrician and a bus driver for the Fairfield school district for 27 years.

Mr. COFFIN was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Richland Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kim WOODS and husband Bryan of Kimball, Neb., and Kristi COFFIN of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Pearl WAUGH of Fairfield; four stepdaughters, Glenda HUNT of Kirksville, Mo., Dolores Hope WHITE of Alta Loma, Calif., Deanna SPRAY of Hallsville, Mo., and Shellie SPRAY of Vancouver, Wash.; two stepsons, Gordon SPRAY of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Steven SPRAY of Jay, Fla.; four grandchildren; 23 stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two stepsons, Randy and Rick SPRAY; four brothers, Willard, Lester, Johnny and Raymond COFFIN; and two sisters, Blanch WATERS and Mary BOGHNER.
