Caseville, MIRobert Paul "Bob" YODER, 61, of Caseville, Michigan, originally born and raised in Iowa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on February 5, 2025. As were the families' wishes, crematon has taken place.
Bob was born on April 5, 1963, in Fairfield, Iowa to Howard James "Jim" YODER and Rosa Lea "Rose" DOOLIN. Bob attended Pekin Community High School in Packwood, Iowa. As a teenager Bob began working with his Grandpa Buck in the plumbing business, but after 22 years he got tired of crawling under houses in the winter to thaw pipes and found his true calling as a long-haul truck driver in 2000. Bob drove coast to coast across the country until he passed. In 1994 bob was united in marriage to Vicky WELSHER in Nashua, Iowa at the Little Brown Church in the Vale.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed playing call of Duty Black Ops Cold War on his computer with his brother Robin and the same clan of friends he had played with for 15 or more years. He loved spending time with his grandbabies; especially taking them to the fair and going on rides with them.
Bob is survived by his wife, Vicky; children, Stormy NEY (Ronald), Joshua Paul SUMMERS (Meredith), Zach RAINBOLT; mother, Rose KESSLER; brothers, Robin YODER (Brenda), Jodie YODER; stepbrother, Rick KESSLER (Lora); stepsister, Sandy FIEDLER (Andrew); grandchildren, Kace YODER, Justice YODER, Kai YODER, Myla YODER, Evelyn YODER, Dailee YODER, Cohyn ROACH; three nieces, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Ward and Opal DOOLIN, Cliff and Geneva MECK; father, Jim YODER; stepfather, Pastor Richard "Dick" KESSLER; son, Dustin YODER; brother, Mark Anthony YODER; granddaughter Peytan YODER.
A memorial service to honor Bob's life will be held at 11:00 AM on March 8, 2025, at Lightning and Thunder Ministry Apostolic Center, located at 2875 Oak Meadow Drive in Ottumwa, Iowa. Pastor Jim Olson will be officiating. Memorials can be left at the church or mailed to the family at 6520 Michigan St., Caseville, MI 48725.
Bob will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind sense of humor and personality which he showed off any chance he got. He loved making people laugh, even until the end when he was sick and in the hospital.
