Dorothy 'Dot' Faye Morris

Dorothy "Dot" Faye Morris, 80, of Burlington formerly of Lockridge, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at her home.

In accordance with her wishes, no service or visitation is planned.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is in charge of arrangments.

Mrs. Morris was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Atlanta, Mo., the daughter of Otis and Lora Lyda Harrison. She married George Morris in 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He died in 1982. She then married Max Baumgartner July 23, 1984, in Fairfield.

Mrs. Morris lived most of her life in the St. Louis area and was employed by the Monsanto Company. She moved to Lockridge in 1983 and had been employed by the Jefferson County Home and retired in 1989. Her pastimes included camping.

She attended church in Moscow Mills, Mo.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Bowman of Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Mitchell Wayne Morris of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Adra Shipley of Burlington and Marjorie Hourihan of Mount Pleasant.

Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Muschamp; one brother; and two sisters.
