Doug Alan DANIELSON was born on December 6, 1958, in Keosauqua, IA and graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1977. He transitioned into the workforce starting at Nelson Company in Fairfield.

It was during this time, at a gathering at a friend's house, that he would meet the love of his life, Roberta PETERSON. They married on June 2, 1984, at St. John Catholic Church in Houghton. Their union was blessed with three children: Adam, Brian, and John. The joy of fatherhood eventually expanded for Doug with the birth of his grandson, Nolan. With his dedication to schooling and a gentle nudge from Bert, Doug attained his associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology from Indian Hills. Doug's professional life was marked by various roles at companies such as Falco, Anderson Tooling, and most recently at H & H Molding.

Rooted in profound faith, Doug was active in the St. Mary Catholic Church community, contributing as a Third Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, eventually serving with distinction as Grand Knight. This same faith ushered him through life and gained him spiritual peace and lifelong friends.

Family trips across the United States, always by car, were among Doug's cherished memories. He tok every chance to indulge in fishing, hunting, and camping with friends and family. Doug loved to cook and had many great times with family and friends around his famous BBQ. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes fan but found himself to be most at peace surrounded by family and friends.

His leaving has created an absence deeply felt by his beloved wife, Roberta; his children, Adam, Brian (Tori), and John, a treasured grandson, Nolan, his parents, Phil and Carolyn ELLINGSON, as well as many extended family, friends, and the community he called home.
