ANDREW "ANDY" DAVID PHILLIPS
Fairfield

Andrew "Andy" David PHILLIPS, 30, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Monday, November 19, 2024 in Spencer, Iowa (note: in Clay Co., IA).

Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Visitation for family and friends will be at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday. Memorials may be mailed to: Jodi RIGLER, 116 N. court St. Fairfield, Iowa 52556 or left at Behner Funeral Home.

Andrew was born April 19, 1994, in Fairfield. He attended Lockridge and Pence Elementary schools and Fairfield Middle School before moving from the Fairfield area.

Andrew worked as a maintenance and repairman at Lake Life Skills. When he wasn't working, he was usually fishing. His love for fishing started very early in life and he remained an avid fisherman throughout the years. Andrew was a self-taught guitarist, a master of sarcasm and never failed to entertain.

Andrew spent as much time as he could with his daughter Madelyn, who shares his love of fishing. Their time together was filled with love and smiles.

He was as stubborn as the day is long and always had his next wisecrack waiting in the wings. He also had a kind heart, magnetic personality and a boyish charm.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Madelyn; parents, Jodi RIGLER and Chuck HEISEL (Patty) of Fairfield; brother, Charles (Danielle) HEISEL of Stockport; grandparents, Teresa ROSETE of Keota and Charles and Leia HEISEL of Stockport; his "second mom and dad", Linda and Andre SCHOFIELD of Jackson, Minnesota; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his counselor and confidant, Dan Gigstad of Spirit Lake; and more friends than he could have imagined.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Caleb HEISEL; grandfather, Ren ROSETE; cousin, Ashton LANKFORD; and great-grandparents, Roscoe and Rita JEFFREY, and Viola HEISEL.

Online condolences may be made to Andrew's family by viewing his obituary at www.behnerfh.com.
