Page 8, Column 3Mrs. W. E. HOCH Dies Suddenly
Death came suddenly this morning to Mrs. William E. HOCH, 80, who passed away at her home 503 W. Broadway. She had been in her usual health but had suffered an attack of the flu recently.
Last rites will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Harold Kruger in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. William E. HOCH was born Nov. 7, 1879, at Brighton, Iowa the daughter of Casper and Christina GILMAN FOSS. She was married to William E. HOCH on Aug. 6, 1906, at Brighton. He preceded his wife in death on Dec. 28, 1953.
A member of the Lutheran church and the Pythian Sisters, Mrs. HOCH had been a resident of Fairfield for over 34 years.
She is survived by two sons Carl W. HOCH, St. Louis; Roy E. HOCH, Oskaloosa; and a daughter Mrs. Richard SCHRAMM, Fairfield. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
Mrs. HOCH, the last of her family, was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
