HENDRICKS Rites Set

Alva O. HENDRICKS, 89, died Sunday about noon at the Henry County Memorial Hospital Extended Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

Before entering the care center he had made his home at the residence of Mrs. Bertha Riley, 51 S. Eighth Street, for the past 23 years.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Weida officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Alva O. HENDRICKS was born Jan. 18, 1886, in Jefferson County. He was the son of Harrison and Mary Ellen HENDRICKS, and spent most of his life in the Fairfield Community. He was a retired farmer.

HENDRICKS was married to Grace Mabel MULLENIX in 1907. She died in 1934.

He is survived by eight children; Harold, Fairfield; Roscoe, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Paul MARRIOTT, Montrose; Mrs. Archie CHRISTNER and Edward HENDRICKS, both of Mount Pleasant; Raymond, New Orleans, La.; Mrs. Dale CHRISTNER, Mount Pleasnat (sic); and Victor, Davenport.

Also 29 grandchildren, 49, great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nora JONES, Davenport. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
