Page 2, Column 1N. HENDERSON SUCCUMBED SUNDAY OF PNEUMONIA
Nicholas HENDERSON died yesterday morning at his home on South Seventh street. Death resulted from pneumonia and came after an illness of only a few days. Definite funeral arrangements have not been madt (sic) but they will be held some time tomorrow.
Mr. HENDERSON, who was a colored resident, was born in Virginia, Oct. 6th, 1882, being 37 years of age at the time of his death. He has made his home in Fairfield for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and two sons and one daughter.

His year of birth varies somewhat, being noted as 1881 as on his gravestone, to 1882 in his obituary and the 1920 census and in his marriage record, to 1883 on his WWI Draft Card. His Death Certificate noted his birth as October 6, 1881, which matches his gravestone, and age at death was 38y, 4m, 2d. Per his marriage record, his wife was Ora JOHNSON. What happened to her and their three small children is not known at the time of this posting.
