Rollie HAWK, 87, Taken In Death

Rollie Russell HAWK, 87, route 1, Brighton, died at 8 a.m. today at the Fairfield Convalescent Home. He had been in failing health the past several years and seriously ill the past two weeks.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry D. Gilmore in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Rollie Russell HAWK, son of Thomas and Sarah JENNISON HAWK, was born Nov. 27, 1881 in Jefferson County. He was reared and educated in the lower Richwoods Community northeast of Fairfield.

A retired farmer, he had lived on the home place which had been in the family for over 90 years.

He was married to Laura RADILEY (sic - RADLEY) on March 29, 1911. A member of the Bethesda Methodist Church, he was preceded in death by one sister and two granddaughters.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth, Willard, Maynard, all of Brighton, and Keith, Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Viola DIEHL, Fairfield, and Ethel HAWK, Brighton; 16 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie LESHER, Santa Laria, Calif.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Rollie R. HAWK, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Rollie R. HAWK Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 3rd day of March, 1969, the Last Will and Testament of Rollie R. HAWK deceased bearing date of the 22nd day of December, 1964, was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that Kenneth HAWK was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the Clerk of the above named District Court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
