Melo HAVEL, 79, Taken In Death

Melo HAVEL, 79, 505 W. Grimes, died Sunday at 11:30 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing Home. He had been in failing health for the past month.

Services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Fr. Robert Jackson. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

HAVEL was a retired farmer. He was born June 18, 1889 in Washington County, the son of Frank and Anna PESHEK HAVEL. He was married to Lary (sic - Mary) LESTINA Nov. 18, 1914. She preceded him in death Dec. 7, 1966.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mae JANECEK, Washington; and Emma HAVEL, Fairfield. Other survivors are one granddaughter and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Lessie LESTINA and Mrs. Rose KOLOSICK, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; Edward F. HAVEL, Ainsworth; and Adolph HAVEL, Oak Park, Ill.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Melo HAVEL, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Melo HAVEL Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 25th day of November, 1968, the last will and testament of Melo HAVEL deceased bearing date of the 2nd day of February, 1950, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Emma A. HAVEL was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
