Rites pending

Mrs. Mattie HASTINGS, 80, 103 North D St., died this morning at university Hospitals in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Services are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home.

HASTINGS Rites Set

Mrs. Claude HASTINGS, 80, 103 North D, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the University Hospital in Iowa City where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mattie A. HASTINGS was born Feb. 22, 1894, in Keokuk County. She was the daughter of Albert and Caroline TALLEY.

Her marriage to Claude HASTINGS took place May 26, 1950, in Vancouver, Wash.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. HASTINGS is survived by one son, Francis LAKE, Houston, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. John BLANDING, Philipsburg, Kansas; Mrs. Don WELCH, Fairfield; and Mrs. Glen REIGHARD, Lakeview; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters and two sons.
