Mrs. Samuel HASTINGS, who is well known to many of the older residents here, died Saturday, May 12 in Los Angeles, Calif., where she has lived for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. C. J. FLETCHER.
The remains will be brought here for burial, but as yet no definite funeral arrangements have been made.

Lived In Fairfield 46 Years Ago, Died In Los Angeles May 12th
The remains of Mrs. Elizabeth HASTINGS, who died May 12 in Los Angeles, Calif., were brought to this city yesterday afternoon at 2:46, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Carrie FLETCHER of Los Angeles. The remains were taken to the F. D. Kerrick funeral parlors and interment took place this morning at 11 oclock in Evergreen cemetery. The body was laid to rest beside the graves of her husband Samuel HASTINGS and her son Louis C. HASTINGS, both of whom preceded her in death a number of years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. HASTINGS made Fairfield their home for twenty years and the old M. A. McCoid property at 301 West Kirkwood, was the family home. After the death of her husband 46 years ago Mrs. HASTINGS removed to Topeka, Kansas and later went to reside in Los Angeles. Mrs. HASTINGS was 87 years of age April 16, and her daughter complimented her with a party in her honor at the hospital where she was ill at that time.
