Michael Dean HARWOOD

Michael Dean HARWOOD, 47, 603 S. Sixth St., died at 6 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1994, at his home.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The casket will be closed. A memorial has been established to Jefferson County Hospice.

HARWOOD was born Dec. 5, 1946, in Jefferson County, the son of Lafe and Eleanor HARWOOD. A lifelong resident of Fairfield, he graduated from Floriculture School in Cedar Rapids. He owned and operated Michael's Flowers and Gofts Shop from 1971 to 1983.

Surviving are three brothers, Kenneth L. of Ottumwa, Thomas N. of rural New London and Carroll E. of Fairfield. His parents and an infant brother preceded him in death.
