Obituary.

Andrew HARRIS died in Ottumwa March 7, from typhoid pneumonia, and the remains brought here Wednesday evening and taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. F. T. CAMPBELL. Funeral services were conducted there Friday morning by Rev. Thos. Osborne and the remains laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Andrew HARRIS, son of Edward and Electa HARRIS, was born March 10, 1884, at Clarkson, Iowa. The first seven years of his life were spent at this place.

In 1891 his parents moved to Batavia, where they resided on a farm a short distance west of Batavia, where Andrew made his home for about ten years.

In March, 1904, he joined the U. S. navy and served on the U. S. cruiser Marblehead. He was on this vessel about five months. In August, 1904, on account of his ill health, he received his discharge from the navy.

In the latter part of August, 1904, he came to the home of his sister, Mrs. F. T. CAMPBELL, his father and mother having moved to Colorado. He remained with his sister a short time, and then securing work in Ottumwa, he made that his home until the time of his death.
