MRS. R. HARPER DIES OF TYPHOID

Private Funeral Services Held this Afternoon; Interment At Evergreen

Mrs. Ralph HARPER died yesterday morning at 11:45 oclock at her home, 1003 West Jackson street. Death being due to typhoid fever infection from which she had been suffering since a week ago Friday. Funeral services were held this afternoon from the home in charge of Rev. L. Mendenhall. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery. Services were private for the home is quarantined for diphtheria, two children, Cloype and Ileen suffering with the malady.

Mrs. HARPER was born March 22, 1892 in this city and has since made her home here. On November 3, 1909 she was united in marriage to Ralph E. HARPER and to this union were born four children, Martha Catherine age 13, Cloype age 8, Weston 4 and Ileen 3, who with her mother Mrs. Henry C. SMITH, two brothers, Ray and Gale of this city and the husband survive her. Her father and a half sister preceded her in death.

MRS. RALPH HARPER

Mabel Elva SMITH, daughter of Henry and Martha SMITH, was born in Fairfield, Iowa, on March 22nd, 1892. She grew to womanhood here and received her education in the public schools. On November 3rd, 1909 she was united in marriage to Ralph E. HARPER. To this union were born four children, Kathryn, Cloyce, Weston and Eileen, all at home.

Her half sister, Alta preceded her in death on December 10, 1898 and her father preceded her on October 8th, 1920. She is survived by her husband, four children, her mother and two brothers, Gail W. and Raymond H., all of this city.

After an illness of typhoid infection of several weeks duration, being confined to her bed only ten days, she departed this life on May 17th, 1925, at the early age of 33 years, 1 month and 22 days.

Mrs. HARPER was a good wife and a loving mother. She took great interest in her children who will greatly miss her loving care.
