MRS. J. HARPER DIED YESTERDAY

Succumbs to An Illness of a Year. Is Survived By Two Children

Mrs. Lucetta HARPER, widow of John HARPER, died yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at the Jefferson county hospital, following an illness of a year. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the Davies Undertaking parlors at 2:00 o'clock.

Lucetta BALDWIN HARPER was born west of Birmingham on September 12 1842, and was the daughter of Elizabeth JONES BALDWIN and Stacy BALDWIN. She was wed to John HARPER in Keosauqua over fifty years ago, who died a few years after their marriage(.) Mrs. HARPER is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mel BLOUGH, of this place and a son, Stacy HARPER, of Chicago; also a sister, Mrs. Mace CLINKENBEARD of Fairfield.

Mrs. Lucretta (sic) HARPER Dead.

Mrs. Lucetta HARPER, an old resident of Fairfield, died at the hospital Tuesday morning at the age of seventy-nine years. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mel BLOUGH of this city, and a son, Stacey HARPER, of Chicago. Her husband died several years ago. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

LUCETTA BALDWIN HARPER

Lucetta BALDWIN HARPER was born west of Birmingham, Iowa, September 12, 1842, and was the daughter of Elizabeth JONES BALDWIN and Stacy BALDWIN. She departed this life at the Jefferson County hospital, Tuesday, December 20, 1921, following an illness of a year. She was married to John HARPER of Keosauqua, Iowa, more than fifty years ago. He departed this life in May, 1880.

Mrs. HARPER is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mel BLOUGH, of this place, and a son, Stacy HARPER of Chicago, also a sister, Mrs. Mace CLINKENBEARD of Fairfield.

Brief funeral services were held from the Davies Undertaking parlors Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of R. H. Polly of the Christian church. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery.
