Paul Howard HANEY

Paul Howard HANEY, 86, 508 W. Madison Ave., died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 1994, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. There also will be Masonic rites by Clinton Masonic Lodge 15 at the graveside. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church choir and the Fairfield Community Concert Association. Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

HANEY was born Aug. 31, 1907, in Fairfield, the son of Paul Raymond and Anna Roberta HOWARD HANEY. On Jan. 27, 1929, he married Christine GORRELL in Chillicothe, Mo. A lifelong resident of the Fairfield community, he was employed for 25 years as a telephone repairman and was an electrical draftsman at Louden's for 20 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Clinton Masonic Lodge AF and AM 15, and Elks Lodge 1192, a member of York Rite-Clinton Chapter 9 Ottumwa Council 31, Malta Commandery, Fairfield Shrine Club, Kaaba Shrine Temple at Davenport, and was the first president of Fairfield Community Concert Association.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Jacqueline CROW of Cleveland, Ohio, Judy FREUDENBERG of Fairfield; and five grandchildren. A grandson and two great-grandchildren preceded him in death.
