Railroad Employee Dies At Hospital

Frank HANES, 44, an employe on the extra railroad gang which worked in Fairfield for several weeks, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital last night (sic - Saturday, January 5, 1946, at 5 p.m.) following a months' illness. He entered the local hospital November 29. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery tomorrow.

Mr. HANES is survived by two sons, Frank, Jr., and Billy, of Oclla (sic - Ocala?), Florida, and one brother, Gainesville, Georgia. The deceased man served in the United States Coast Guard from 1920 to 1924.

Grave Services Today For Frank HANES, 44

Grave services were held at 2:00 p.m. today for Frank HANES, 44, railroad employe who passed away at the Jefferson county hospital Sunday night. The services were in charge of Rev. G. J. Dingman, with burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Following his death at the hospital, the body was taken to the Monger funeral home.
