ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. HAMM

Mrs. Leona P. HAMM, a resident of Fairfield for the past 45 years, died late Saturday night at the Jefferson county hospital. Mrs. HAMM was stricken earlier in the day and her death was considered sudden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Free Methodist church in charge of the Rev. G. J. Dingman. Burial will be in Fairfield.

Mrs. HAMM was born January 24, 1897 in Knoxville, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Minnie ELKINS GADDIS. She was married to Llewellyn HAMM April 12, 1916 in Fairfield. She was a member of the Free Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband and mother and the following children: Wesley HAMM, Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Margaret ROPER, Corpus Christi, Texas. Six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mabel EHRHARDT, Algonia, Mrs. Alice HERRIOTT, Des Moines, and one brother, Frank GADDIS, Curlew, Iowa, also survive.

The body will be taken from the Weston Behner funeral home to the church at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot SDiv.1-004. Husband Llewellyn passed away about three weeks after Leona did, and was buried with her.
