Adeline Christina HAMM died at 1:30 a.m. today. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray HAMM, nine miles northeast of Fairfield. She was born in 1912, and had been ill for only three weeks.
She is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Warren, Jay, Richard, Bernetta, Mariam and Louisa.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Miss Adeline HAM, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. HAM, born near Lime Spring, Iowa, July 23, 1912. She had been ill about three weeks, although her illness was not considered serious until the first of April when she took seriously ill and passed away April 9th at 2:30 a.m. (sic). Miss HAM was known by all her friends as a kind, loving nature especially with the aged. She was a graduate of the 1932 Libertyville high school. She leaves to mourn her loss three brothers, Warren, Jay, Richard, three sisters, Juanita, Marian, Louise. Also a grandfather and a large number of relaties (sic), who were unable to be here on account of sickness caused by the severe dust storms in their localities.
The songs she loved most were: "Going Down the Valley One By One," "In the Garden" and "Meet Me There.'
These songs were sung by Mrs. William Stever, Miss Reva Patten, Mrs. Norval Switzer and Mrs. Albert Johnson at the piano.
The pall bearers were Paul White, Robert Fligg, Gorden Coleson, George McClain, Robert Stortz and Jack Ward. Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home with Rev. U. S. Smith of the Methodist church in charge.
Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.

Several anomalies exist here: the dates on her gravestone are July 15, 1912 to *August* 10, 1935. Her obituary and Death Certificate say she was born July 23, 1912; her first obituary says she died April 10th and the second one says April 9th, but her Death Certificate says she died on April 10th at 1:00 a.m. She was 22 years, 8 months and 17 days old. She was the daughter of Royal C. and Bessie ADAMS HAM. Also, her given name on her gravestone is spelled "Addeline".
