Vern HALL, 68, Dies Suddenly

Death came suddenly Wednesday afternoon to Vern R. HALL, 68, well known retired Jefferson county farmer. He died about 3 p.m. at his farm home five miles south of Fairfield.

He had been failing health for the past several years but his death was sudden and unexpcted.

Last rites will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Honius, Birmingham, in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Vern R. HALL was born August 2, 1893, in Jefferson county, the son of Ora and Nora LAWSON HALL. He was married to Emma HALFERTY on March 24, 1914, at Birmingham. He had lived his entire life in Jefferson county and was a member of the Birmingham Presbyterian church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, William H. HALL, route 3, Fairfield; three grandchildren; one brother, Earl A. HALL, Birmingham; and a sister, Mrs. Melvin WILSON, Rapid City, Ill.

HALL was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
