CORA GUSTISON DIED IN SEATTLE

The Body Will Be Brought to This City for Burial; She Had Long Been Ill

Miss Cora M. GUSTISON, a former Fairfield girl, passed away Thursday evening in Seattle, Wash., after being in ill health for several years, the last month of which her condition was serious.

The body will leave that city tonight for Fairfield, accompanied by the mother, Mrs. Charlotte GUSTISON, and the funeral services will be held here.

Miss GUSTISON was 44 years old and she has made her home in the west for a number of years. She is survived by her mother and three brothers and a sister: Carmel GUSTISON of Aledo, Ill., Ward GUSTISON and Virgil GUSTISON, both of Washington state, and Mrs. B. L. GATES of Seattle, Wash. A sister, Miss Alta GUSTISON, died eight years ago.

CORA GUSTISON RITES WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AT 2

The body of Miss Cora M. GUSTISON, who died Thursday in Seattle, Wash., will arrive in this city tomorrow afternoon at 4:59 over the Rock Island railroad, accompanied by the mother, Mrs. Charlotte GUSTISON.

The last rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith of the Methodist church. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

PAY TRIBUTE TO CORA GUSTISON

Last Rites Were Held Yesterday Afternoon From the Hoskins Funeral Home

Many paid tribute to the memory of Miss Cora Marie GUSTISON, who died in Seattle, Wash., Dec. 5, at the funeral services held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hoskins funeral home. Dr. U. S. Smith of the Methodist church officiated.

Mrs. M. H. Bryant sang the songs, "The City Foursquare" and "Face to Face." There were two cars of beautiful flowers and floral pieces. The casket attendants were: G. W. Gaumer, Arthur Cooper, George Stephenson, J. W. Cassel, John ANDERSON, Jr., and Jack Swan. The body was laid to rest by the side of her sister, Alta, in Evergreen cemetery.

Funeral services were held Dec. 7, at the Butterworth Mortuary at Seattle. The body was accompanied to this city by her mother, Mrs. Charlotte Anna GUSTISON, who was accompanied by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ward V. GUSTISON of LaGrande, Ore.

John ANDERSON and son, John Jr., of Corning, and Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Prior of Mt. Pleasant, attended the funeral here.

Cora Marie GUSTISON was born March 26, 1885, at Fairfield, Iowa. She attended rural school until fifteen years of age when she entered Augustana College at Rock Island and graduated in music. Two years later she entered the insurance business and has the distinction of being the first lady agent with the Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York in the city of Seattle, Washington.

After a lingering illness she passed away on the evening of December 5, her mother and sister being with her at the end.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Charlotte Anna GUSTISON, and one sister, Mrs. Benjamin L. GATES of Seattle, formerly Myrtle GUSTISON of this city, and three brothers, Ward of Legrand, Oregon, Virgil of Eugene, Oregon, and Carmel of Aledo, Ill.
