Note: There was no obituary printed in the "Southeast Iowa Union / Fairfield Ledger" for Wayne, however Behner Funeral Home had one on their website, from which this posting is extracted.

Wayne's posting noted that he was born October 20, 1926, and died January 12, 2023, in Fairfield, IA. Parents were Frank B. and Pauline (WOELLHAF) SCOTT. He was married to and later divorced from Betty Lou LYNN.

During the Korean Conflict, Wayne served in the National Guard. He was a shipping clerk at The Dexter Company for 23 years, after which he moved to Tucson, AZ, and eight years ago moved back to Fairfield.

Survivors include his children, Kevin SCOTT and Lynn JAWORSKI; grandchildren Debi HORNKOHL and Linda HAMMON; five great grandchildren, and a nephew, Fredrick DAHL. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Emogene DAHL.

Wayne was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot 4th.090 next to his father Frank. There were no services at the time of his passing.
