Elmer B. GROVE Taken In Death

Elmer B. GROVE, well-known Jefferson county farmer and member of a pioneer family, passed away about 5 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been seriously ill for the past three weeks. He had been bedfast for the past year and two months.

Last rites will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Donald Eagle officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Elmer B. GROVE, 84, was born Nov. 13, 1874, on a farm south of Lockridge in Jefferson county, the son of the late Gustaf and Mary Christina HIBBERG GROVE. He was united in marriage to Mary CASE on March 22, 1905, at Fairfield.

GROVE attended schools in Fairfield and the Fairfield business college. His farm was located six miles southeast of Fairfield where he lived for over 53 years. Mr. and Mrs. GROVE celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1955. He was a member of the Christian church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred ROBINSON, and a grandson, Richard Grove ROBINSON, both of Fairfield. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hanna E. DAVIS, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Mrs. Esther CLINGER, Eton, Colo.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
