William GREINER Fatally Injured In Truck Crash

Last rites are pending for William Dean GREINER, 32, former resident of Fairfield who was killed in a truck accident Wednesday in Central Wyoming.

The body is scheduled to arrive at the Raymond funeral home Saturday afternoon where last rites will be held.

Reports from the Wyoming authorities said the trailer of the truck slipped into a roadside ditch and pulled the tractor off the highway. The truck and trailer traveled about 180 feet in the ditch before turning over, pinning GREINER in the cab.

The accident took place on highway 26 about four miles east of Moneta, Wyo. Reports said he was hauling farm equipment.

A former resident of this community, GREINER was living at Sigourney in Keokuk county at the time of his death.

William GREINER was born Nov. 11, 1933 in Keokuk county, the son of Clarence James and Doris MALLINGER GREINER. He was reared and educated in Keokuk county. He was married to Kathryn WILSON at Nashua, Iowa, on July 5, 1957.

The accident victim is survived by his mother, Mrs. Doris GREINER, Fairfield; two brothers, Jerry and Lloyd, both of Fairfield; also six sisters, Mrs. Irene SIMONS, Mrs. Betty ROUSH, Mrs. Helen NICHOLSON, Martha GREINER and Karlene GREINER, all of Fairfield; and Mrs. Ruth SMITH, Washington. He was preceded in death by his father.

Monday Rites For GREINER

Last rites for William D. GREINER, 32, will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home.

GREINER was killed Wednesday in a truck accident near Moneta, Wyoming. He was a resident of Sigourney and a former resident of Fairfield.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. D. O. Van Dyne. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
