C. E. GREENFIELD Services Friday At Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ia. -- Charles E. GREENFIELD, 83, retired farmer, died Wednesday noon at Memorial hospital in Keosauqua following a long illness.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Birmingham Presbyterian church in charge of the Rev. A. R. Klein. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield. The body is at the Burch Funeral home here.

GREENFIELD was born near Birmingham Sept. 27, 1881, the son of W. S. and Esther MORROW GREENFIELD. He was married to Margaret RUDOLPH Feb. 4, 1906.

GREENFIELD had lived on the same farm west of Birmingham since 1915. He was a deacon and leader of the Birmingham Seventh-Day Adventist church before its merger with the Fairfield church.

Surviving are his wife and two sons: Lloyd, Libertyville; and Joe, Birmingham. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Edith AUGER, Grundy Center. One daughter, one son, two sisters and one brother are deceased.

Attend Last Rites For GREENFIELD

BIRMINGHAM, Ia. -- Among those here from a distance to attend last rites for Charlie GREENFIELD, 83, held Friday at the Birmingham Presbyterian church were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest AUGER of Grundy Center, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brown all of Des Moines, Mrs. Clyde Van Cleave of Marshalltown, Mrs. Ted Wauseley of Conrad, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Popejoy of Radcliffe, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McClenathan of Deep River, Dunaane Popejoy of Lockridge and Mrs. Roes Channel of Springfield, Ill.
