Sylvester GREEN Taken In Death

Sylvester T. GREEN, 80, Jefferson county retired farmer, died at 7:45 a.m., today at the Nelson Nursing home where had been a patient the past month. He had been in failing health the past year.

Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral home on Monday, Dec 13 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. James W. Dendler in charge. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

He was born Jan. 31, 1885 in Jefferson county, the son of Oran and Rebecca HAWK GREEN. He was married to Barbara REEDER on Jan. 14, 1915 at Lockridge. He had been a resident of Jefferson county his entire life. His farm home is on Route 2.

GREEN is survived by his wife, one sister, Mrs. Verda FLIGG and one brother, Randall GREEN all of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one sister and his parents.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of S. T. GREEN, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of S. T. GREEN, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 20th day of December, 1965, the last will and testament of S. T. GREEN, deceased, bearing date of the 5th day of April, 1949 was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Barbara GREEN was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
