Mrs. GREEN, 91, Taken In Death

Mrs. Sarah E. GREEN, 91, pioneer resident of Fairfield, died at 3 a.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital where she had been a patient since last Wednes- (sic)

Mrs. GREEN had been seriously ill for a week. She made her home at 405 W. Monroe. Services will be held Wehnesday (sic) at 2 p.m. CDT at the Weston Behner Funeral home. The Rev. J. Roland Crandall will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. GREEN was born Jan. 10, 1870 in Walpole county, Illinois. She came to Fairfield with her parents in a covered wagon at the age of 3. She was married to William GREEN (sic - John William Drew GREEN) Oct. 26, 1892. He preceded her in death May 27, 1942.

Mrs. GREEN was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mamie TOWNE, Eldon; and Mrs. Pearl HICKENBOTTOM and Mrs. Marjorie CLARK, both of Fairfield. Nine grandchildren also survive. Mrs. GREEN was the last member of a family of 11 children. Three sons, five sisters and five brothers are deceased.

State of Iowa,
Jefferson County, ss.

Notice Is Hereby Given, That the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Administratrix of the estate of Sarah E. GREEN, deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
