Mrs. A. J. GREEN passed away this morning following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Methodist church. Dr. C. L. Tenant will have charge of the services.

Ruth Ellen COLLINS, daughter of Waltus and Jane COLLINS, was born at Salina, Iowa, March 26, 1848, and died here April 19, 1921, aged seventy-three years and twenty-three days.
She was united in marriage to Alonzo J. GREEN on November 1, 1866, at Salina, Iowa. To this union there were born seven children: Mrs. Perditta L. CHARLTON, wife of W. A. CHARLTON. Mrs. CHARLTON passed away four years ago; Dallas M. of near Beckwith; Myrtha at home Harlan of Mountain Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Florence CONNOR of Kahoka, Mo.; Mrs. Pearl LEATHERS; and Mrs. Iredale HOSKINS of this place.
There was the following brothers and sisters: Jay of this county, Ira of Los Angeles, Calif., Melvin of Fairfield, Grant of San Diego, Calif., Earnerst of Malvern, Iowa, Dennis of Fairfield, one sister who died in infancy and Mrs. Emma CHESTER who passed away October 17, of last year
There were also sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. GREEN had always lived in this county, and the last seventeen years they had made their home in this city.
She had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Richwoods and here for abour forty-five years and for several years was the Sabbath school superintendent at Richwoods, and so loved Sabbath school work that she attended as long as it was possible for her to get out. She was a good woman, a true companion a kind and loving mother ,and (sic) while ready to go, having no fears for herself, she wanted to live for her family's sake. She expressed her faith in the promise of the life to come. ...
