Una was born in Fairfield, IA on March 18, 1943, the son of Una and Verna NELSON BISHOP. He received a brief formal education before quickly entering the workforce. He worked a variety of roles, beginning his career as a farmhand before joining the team at Dexter in Fairfield. His skill with autobody work led him to own and operate a Body and Fender shop for 40 years. Una took great pride in his garden and participated alongside Donna in the Farmer's Market for 10 years. He was a gifted carpenter and a true "Jack of all Trades."

The call of the outdoors was a constant in Una's life. He truly loved hunting, fishing and trapping. The Mississippi River held a special place in his heart, offering him countless stories and memories.

Una was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard; and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee BISHOP.

Left to share his story is his wife, Donna BISHOP of Packwood, IA; two children, Danny (Mary) BISHOP and Barb (Rick) SIEREN; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen SMITH of West Virginia; as well as many extended family and friends.
